Hawkes Boat Yard in Whitsundays
Our client wanted a boatyard that looked like a boatyard. Great! First problem solved. Maintaining a traditional feel while complying with current environmental standards was trickier. Paint shops, spray booths, wash-downs, travel lift, chandlery and related maritime trade workshops all working closely together at Abel Point. The original boatyard was established by Graeme Hawkes, who built beautiful boats. His philosophy was it costs as much to build a beautiful boat as it does to build an ugly one
