About our Queensland architectural practice
Architectural Practice Philosophy
Each site has unique opportunities and constraints and each building has definite functional requirements. The skill is to marry the two into an integrated and coherent spatial complex that will project an image appropriate to the building use, coupled with the formality required by its social ranking within the community streetscape, or surrounding landscape.
The use of each building should be recognisable from its form, as easily as a circus tent defines a circus, without resorting to cliched archetypes. The strength of our practice lies in the depth of design knowledge and experience which is applied to each project, resulting in refreshing and distinctive forms applied to each building type, achieving complexity without conflict; while acknowledging the languorous climate, respecting the surrounding natural environment and maintaining a logical correspondence with historical building typography.
