Country motel at Capella
Country motel in the central highland coal fields area. Tough country, with big trucks. 4WD with roll-over cages and much of the population wearing fluoro safety vests. We needed a building that stood firmly on the highway and was not diminished by the silos, the water tanks and the surroundings. We manage to avoid the normal pigeon holed motel facade and wrapped the complex in the strong embrace of curved corrugated Colorbond. The complex consists of 63 units, managers quarters, reception, restaurant and kitchen in a protective shady oasis.
