Residence - Shute Haven
Our clients bought the ugly duckling of the street, then came to us for additions and a make-over. Although it is always easier with a blank canvas, we took this project on. Whatever we did was going to be better than the existing building. We added another part storey, a garage and extended the outdoor living areas. The narrow site would not allow overhanging eaves, so we grouped together a series of strong architectural forms, clad them in modern materials and tweaked the proportions to achieve something that surprised us all.
